Witney Houston has gone from an 11 year old church choir singer to a fashion model, world famous R&B/pop singer, actress and motion picture producer. She is said to be the most “awarded female act of all time” according to the Guinness World Records. As of 2010 she has received 2 Emmy Awards, 6 Grammy Awards, 30 Billboard Music Awards, 22 American Music Awards and a total of 415 career awards. She has sold over 170 million albums and singles across the world and is one of the world’s best-selling music artist.
However, as most of you know it hasn’t all been peaches and cream for the Witney Houston. Witney went through a very ugly and public marriage with singer Bobby Brown. She went through a some major struggles with drugs and alcohol as she suffered from depression and day to day stresses. Witney and Brown divorced in 2006 when she took her life back and regained focus on her career.

Most recent news on Witney Houston include her enrollment to an out patient rehabilitation center in May 2011. The Hollywood Reporter announced in September of 2011 that Witney Houston will produce and star in the remake of “Sparkle” a 1976 film. It was said that she is to play the role of Spark’s “not-so encouraging mother”.
Witney Houston has previously stared in three (3) major films, four (4) television shows, five (5) television commercials and helped produced five (5) films. She has done remarkable well aside from her times when drugs and alcohol took control of her. We all look forward to everything the future has in store for her!
